Stopsley Common, Chiltern XC League
We had great turnouts and performances in U11 and U13 boys and girls, thanks to the parents and kids for coming out on cold grey December day. I'm sure the next match that will be at Keysoe, Bedford on the 13th January will be equally as well attended by the senior groups with some unavoidable absence this time. If you know of any athletes who might like to run for us please ask them to get in touch, it would be nice for Harry to have some company in the U15 boys group! We had two new runners this week Tiffani U15 Girls which meant we had a full team and also Max U11 Boys, well done both.
The Wheeler brothers came high up in results with 2nd and 4th in division 2 mens race. Alice Ritchie was first back for the women closely followed by Anna Kofed-Gregory and it was good to also see Sophia Cliffe running for MKDP. James Dowsett was back on form again 2nd in div 2 U17 men and Charlotte Moyse first back for the U17/20 women. Harry Legg came in a respectable 7th and the U15 girls team are all getting stronger. The U13 Boys and Girls teams looked good with Jack Ratcliffe and Lily Mae Smith first home for MKDP. It was nice to have a 4 strong U11 team of boys all finishing well with Lily Ealing and Kaitlin Baitson running for U11 Girls.
