Southern Inter-Counties Cross Country
Two of our female athletes competed for Buckinghamshire at the Southern Inter-Counties on Saturday.
Below are reports of races from Holly Jamieson and Lily-Mae Smith.
Holly U17 Women
On December the 9th ran at the Southern Inter-Counties at Oxford; it was very cold and some parts of the course were very muddy however others parts were frozen, so it was quite a tricky race. It was a great experience to be able to run for Buckinghamshire lots of athletes attended.
Lily-Mae Smith U13 Girls
Recently I raced at the south of England inter counties, I was pleased to get a place as not many people get the opportunity! It wasn’t one of my target races but it was a lovely experience, and I really enjoyed it! I felt this race went well as I had a good sprint finish and throughout the race I kept a positive mind set! Overall I really enjoyed racing at the South of England Inter-Counties. I feel as an athlete I'm getting stronger and can achieve more with my running.
