A new 3k PB for Sophie Jacobs - Harrow AC Open, 14 April
On 14 April Sophie competed in her first track race of this season, at Harrow. She was delighted to finish in 10:17.24 – a new PB, 13 seconds faster than her 2021 3k track time!
Here’s what Sophie had to say: ‘I’m happy with how I ran because hopefully I’ve qualified for English Schools, and I haven’t raced for 2 months due to having Covid. I was hoping for a slightly faster time, but now that I’ve reflected on the race I’m pleased with it, especially because it was more like a time trial than a race: the field was quite spread out and it was my first race of the season. I’m looking forward to my next track race!’
