The third match of the Chiltern League was held at a foggy Stopsley Common on Saturday – so foggy that you couldn’t see the runners if they were more than about a hundred yards away. The sun slowly burned off the fog, and by the end of the racing it was a lovely day. It was good not to have Stopsley’s usual biting wind!
Devon Harford led our senior men home in a time of 34:24 – two and a half minutes faster than his time last year! He was followed by guest runner Toby Fletcher (35:22),Stuart Sinclair (40:48) and Liam Bunn (45:18).
Nic Hammett was 4th in the U17 men’s race is 17:54, cutting 40 seconds off his 2022 time.
We had a welcome guest in the form of Dani Chattenton: Dani won the women’s race in a time of 19:38.
