Results of the CCL Stopsley Common match

Congratulations to all athletes who raced in the Chiltern Cross Country League at Stopsley Common yesterday. It was a much nicer day than at Teardrop Lakes last month, with the ground soft but still green after all races had been run!

In the U11 boys’ race, Jed Okia was 26th (in a time of 8.07) – there were 64 runners.

Sophie Jacobs won the U13 girls’ race in a time of 10.28 – her first Chiltern win! Congratulations! In the U13 boys' race, Nic Hammett was 2nd (10.08) and Stan Baker-Smith was 32nd (12.38). There were 69 runners in the boys’ race and 78 in the girls’ race.

In the senior women’s race, Anna Kofoed-Gregory was 26th (23.37, 15th in FS),  Jade White 46th (25.13, 22nd in FS) and Martinha Royles 91st (28.39, 30th in F35). There were 223 runners.

Ben West won the U20 men’s race in a time of 31.29 and George Wheeler won the senior men’s race (31.40). Congratulations to them both! Mick Greener was 38th (35.15, MS),  Marcus Lovell 45th (35.41, 12th in U20),  Eliot Winter 103rd (38.49, 58th in MS),  Lee Adams 133rd (41.10, 74th in MS) and Andy Jacobs 144th (41.43, 37th in M40). There were 351 runners.

The overall MKDP team now sits 10th overall out of 14 teams, with 6637 points; the men’s team is 9th and the women’s team 13th. Full results are at http://www.chilternccl.co.uk/cl2019m31.htm

Yesterday was a great team effort by everyone – well done to you all.

We need as many runners as possible to run each Chiltern League match and win points for the club. See you on 11 January at Keysoe – and remember to take spare socks and a towel to dry off after the water obstacle!
