Charlie's American dream: XC and track success

Charlie Wheeler is spending this year at the University of Wisconsin in the United States on an athletic scholarship, studying for a master’s degree in kinesiology.


Two weeks ago he competed in the Big 10 XC Championships in Shelbyville, Illinois, where he finished 6th in a time of 24.13 (8k race),and his university team won the team title. On 13 February Charlie competed at the Hawkeye B1G Invitational in Iowa City, where he ran a 7.58 3000m – a 24-second PB that ranks him 8th in the UK. It’s also a new MKDP club record.
