Chiltern League fifth match report - Shuttleworth
Well, what a day! The last Chiltern League match of the 2021-22 season was held on a blustery, cold, wet day at Shuttleworth. Kudos and thanks to all the MKDP athletes and families and supporters who turned up to race!
In the U13 boys race Sam Dewhirst was 6th in 10:34, his best Chiltern League placing so far: a huge 'well done' to Sam! Morgan Bunn was 10th (10:46). Great job!
In the U15 girls race, Sophie Jacobs was back on form and came 2nd, in a time of 14:39.
In the U11 girls race, Katie Jacobs came 5th, in 6:26.
Mick Greener was 54th in the senior men’s race, in 35:00, and Eliot Winter came 93rd, in 37:27.
Well done to all runners for competing on such a typical XC day – pouring, windy and cold. Fabulous effort by you all!
We are very disappointed that Stuart and Paul had arrived at the venue to race but were stuck in the queue so missed the senior men’s race. Elena and her son Thomas got there just in time for the senior women’s and U17 races, only to be told they were cancelled.
However, Sam, Morgan, Sophie and Katie had great races, as did Mick and Eliot.
Thank you to all MKDP runners who have turned out to race for the club this winter.
