Results from the XC relay championships at Mansfield
MK Distance Project sent three teams to compete at the English Cross-Country Association (ECCA) Saucony English National Relay Championships in Mansfield on Saturday 2 November: junior men and senior men and women.
The junior men were 20th (out of 44 teams). Total time: 29:17.20. Runners were Ben West (08:58.75) (3rd in Leg 1),Marcus Lovell (10:08.05) (26th in Leg 2) and Mintu Sidhu (10:10.40) (20th in Leg 3).
The senior men came 18th out of 161 teams – their highest position to date – in a combined time of 01:10:28. Leg 1 was run by Joe Morrow (17:05.00) (33rd),Leg 2 by Matt D’Aquila (17:48.65) (29th),Leg 3 by George Wheeler (17:28.80) (23rd) and Leg 4 by Charlie Wheeler (18:06.45) (18th).
The senior women were 11th out of 127 teams – their highest position to date – finishing in 33:31.20. Dani Chattenton ran Leg 1 (10:21.45) (7th),Helene Greenwood Leg 2 (11:58.70) (12th) and Charlie Arnell Leg 3 (11:11.05) (11th).
In the senior women’s race, Dani Chattenton was 7th fastest in Leg 1, with a time of 10.21.45, and Charlie Arnell was 8th fastest in Leg 3, with a time of 11.11.05.
In the junior men’s race, Ben West was 3rd fastest in Leg 1, with a time of 8.58.75.
