MKDP athletes race the MK marathon weekend
Congratulations to Stuart Sinclair, who raced the marathon in this weekend’s MK marathon weekend. His time was an impressive 3:19.39 and he was 20th (out of 230) in the V50 category. 1,350 athletes competed.
Eliot Winter, Paul Wright, Emma Mears and Holly Jamieson ran the half marathon.
Eliot was 10th in the senior male category (out of 355 runners) in an impressive 1:26.53, breaking that 1:30 barrier for the fourth time in his quickest half-marathon time.
Paul’s time was 2:22.07. Emma finished 5th woman out of 682 (and the 2nd senior woman out of 168) – incredible result! Holly finished in 1:45.35, making her the 42nd woman home (and the 14th senior woman). There were 1,557 (yes, you read that right) runners.
In the 5k, Martinha Royles came home in 24:22, 63rd woman home out of 458 runners (and 18th out of 142 in the V35 category).
