The Saucony National XC Championships, Woolaton Park, Nottingham, Saturday 22 February 2020
Congratulations to all MKDP athletes who raced on the muddiest course in the world in Nottingham.
The MKDP junior men’s team was 5th – congratulations to Matt Chronicle, Ben West, Mintu Sidhu and Marcus Lovell!
In the senior women’s race, Dani Chattenton came 7th (34.06),Cecilie Andersen 83rd (38.31) and Helene Greenwood 121st (39.34). There were 919 runners.
In the senior men’s race, Joe Morrow came 82nd (47.31),Charlie Wheeler 151st (49.05) and Mick Greener 337th (52.16). There were 1715 runners (yes, you read that right).
Coach Jim Bennett had this to say: ‘The best course I have seen in 40 years. A real XC course for real XC athletes. Congratulations to all our U20s and seniors who raced at Nottingham – well done to you all.’
