A course record for Sophie at her last junior parkrun
Sophie’s last junior parkrun!
On Sunday 17 July, Sophie and Katie ran the Milton Keynes junior parkrun. Sophie got a time of 6:40 – the new course record! – and Katie was happy to get a big PB of 8:46.
‘It was really nice to go back to where I first got into running, and it brought back lots of memories,’ Sophie said. ‘I was happy to get the course record. I had been hoping to go faster, but it was hot and I was running alone. It was amazing to see so many kids running with big smiles on their faces! This is likely to be my last junior parkrun as I'm almost 15, and it was a nice farewell. A big thank you to all the marshals on the course, and well done to everyone who ran!’
